Hotel Gutkowski - Syracuse

The sea view dining was a unique delight.

The stay here was very nice, loved the hotel, it was clean with fantastic and amazing location not far from the seafront and good bars.

The brekkie was so lekker! Fresh pastries, local cheeses, and you could even help yourself to the coffee-none of that waiting around nonsense. And the staff were just so warm and friendly, giving us the lowdown on the best spots to check out in town. That sea view from our room? Absolute bliss!

Only bummer was the parking, a bit of a faf during peak times. Just plan ahead, ja?

Stayed here before and I would love to come back. It was clean, the staff was wonderful and informative, plus the service was nice. The location was awesome, a 10-15 minute walking distance from a historic Catholic cathedral. Plus, it was right by good bars.

Room and breakfast were quite acceptable; location was good; parking garage about 250 yards away.

One staff member rather curt; should mention free shuttle from parking garage, and give better advice in advance about parking; did not respond to my request for a sea view.

The best breakfast we had at any of the hotels. We learned that one of the ways Italian hotels become 4-star is to have a staff member available to make cappucino for breakfast. Deeeelicious!

Everything was great, and beautifulyl designed.

Charming atmosphere with quirky decor and local touches.

The soundproofing of the room was inadequate, and I could hear voices in the hallway, which disrupted my peace. The lack of change at the front desk became frustrating when I needed it to make purchases.

A very well situated and tastefully decorated hotel at the seafront in Ortigia. Nice and friendly staff.

This is simply a great place to stay. Do take care parking your car as I was given a souvenir parking ticket for 23 euros.while unloading my luggage..there is a 1 euro per night lot a block away. This was NOT the hotel's fault but poor judgement on the part of those who enforce the parking laws..Mrs Gutkowski is a pleasure.

The unique rooftop terrace and the charming boho-chic decor. I adored my room's small courtyard.

Very poor breakfast, poor room equipment... Wrong info on Booked.net about private parking existing. There is only public non-secure parking.

it was a very pleasant hotel on a fab location with excellent service. I would like to visit it again for more days

Great vibes and breakfast!

Spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. The breakfast spread was delicious, especially the local cheeses and fresh pastries. The staff were super friendly, giving nice tips on what to see around. Just wish the room had better soundproofing. A bit noisy at times. The charm of the place makes up for it!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gutkowski where the rooms were comfortable & clean & the breakfasts were very good. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Most of all we enjoyed dining in the evenings in the restaurant where we experienced some of the best food during our holiday in Sicily.

The phones in the hotel were out of order however the staff were very co-operative & allowed us to use the phone in their Hotel next door. Also, we were able to go next door to use the internet as a computer was not available in our Hotel.

Very very nice room facing the ocean. Spotless. Location great. Parking close. Excellent breakfast.
